Matthew Goike: Case maker extraordinaire

Post by 337is » Thu Mar 14, 2013 12:48 pm

Hello friends,

I'm excited to share photos of the new 15u spalted maple case that Matthew built for me.

Here's a link to my rack on the Modular Grid if you're interested in the specific modules in the case at this time: http://www.modulargrid.net/e/racks/view/864

I will echo what many have said about working with Matthew. He's an absolute joy to work with. His enthusiasm is palpable and his craftsmanship top notch. He's also a consummate professional and a clear communicator. The months we spent emailing and talking by phone while deciding what direction this case would go were so much fun. We built a friendship and I learned a lot.

As you can see, I've left myself plenty of room to grow and expand. I'm looking forward to the next few decades while slowly continuing to grow.

Hey Muff Wigglers, I wouldn't have gotten to this point without all of your generosity in sharing advice, tips, and tricks. I really appreciate the opportunity to be a part of this forum and I thank each of you for your contributions. Thank you, and happy wiggling! :tu:

That's just insanely beautiful. Really. Smart to leave room for growth. I had a curved 9u that filled way faster than I wanted it to.

Mr goikes you will and are always appreciated and I wouldn't be doing the stuff I do without you. And what a lot of people don't know is Matthew had something difficult to deal with lately and how he dealt with it confirmed to me what a special person he is. I love mr goikes he is a great friend to me

Oh and he cracks out awesome cases.

I love the spalted maple!

Good job, Matt!

Matthew this is absolutely awesome! That spalted timber really is something else, difficult stuff to work too so I found! but you of course have it down!

This really is a work of art, every surface of it, utterly jawdropping! :jawdrop:

can you imagine all of the Goike case designs you've made in some sort of gallery? ;) I reckon that'd be pretty sweet.
