Oh, it’s quite good. I have a “nicer” interface that sounds amazing, but requires a computer and I find is joyless to use. The MixPre is immediate, sounds good and - crucially - gets me recording.

nice! that's precisely the reason I'm looking into a MixPre6, I have an adequate audio interface but setting up the computer is a real mental roadblock.

Oh, I like that. Lovely system and extra points for the Zarenbourg. :sb:

Yeah Zarenbourg is ace. I just love playing it. It also makes a great soundsystem for the Bug - has a stereo line in, 2 speakers and a fat woofer at the bottom

And here's a piece I just recorded with the Bug

4 frames just looks really pleasing. I swore I would stop at 3 but...

do I spy the forthcoming 1FW DC Mixer in there? :hihi:

QSine is an awesome module. I use the old blue in nearly all patches. For slow LFO's and sometimes for huge bass drum sounds. Less recently as I used a lot Orgone + Radio Music for drums, but the QSine is excellent for bass sounds too.

BTW Tom, the 3 frames system you posted in the Buchla forum also looks fantastic.

so many great Bug setups here. I am relatively new to the bugs, but finally wanted to share a sunny shot of my compact little bug - nothin' to write home about but, I am loving it. (a PTDelay, matrix mixer and incoming DRM2 also add some stand-alone fun..)
