Hi folks, spent the evening playing with the PLL and reconstructed this which is the core of the Arabesque Patch.

damn, and me without a quantizer :bang: Oh well, guess I'll try this with the a-189-1 instead, hehe

Thanks for going through the trouble of attempting to reconstruct this, man. Epic patch.

Hi Richard, I just used MS Paint on a screen shot from Rack Planner. The rack scale is set to 2.0.

I feel safe saying that everyone who has seen that video has wanted to recreate the patch and/or bought a PLL to do so.

Many thanks!! :sb:

Just patched that up.

Damn that clever. I'm starting to understand the PLL a bit more now.

Thanks

okay, question time:
why use a slew limiter? The lowpass out of the PLL is already "slewed", aka lowpassed, surely?

Thanks for doing that. I'll give it a shot once I get tired of the rats nest I have in place at the moment. :yay:

It allows you to control the PLL and external VCO separately. You should consider it optional though because I can see in the video my untouched A-170 in the second row on the far right. :deadbanana:

Beyond this and not shown here though is the possibility of slewing the pitch input before it goes to the mixer using the bottom half of the A-170. This would make the sound go through the scale on the way to the desired note and then trill once it's there.

awesome. I bet you could even make the note jumping sync with a clock somewhat with a trigger into the quantizer. or a Maths instead of the slew. Damn....why do I need to go out for dinner instead of trying this patch! Oh yeah...chicks. :hmm:

Yes, amazing patch...

I'd missed this, and patched it up last night, though I don't yet have a 156...

I found the patch grew quickly to bind together half the modular, and really sounds great with VC Slew whilst toggling the switches on the 196... I can imagine working with this for some time over Christmas...

Thanks Doug...

Well, the Vulcanization of rubber and Penicillin were both discovered by accident... just goes to show ya. Similar to when my wife found my P-spot...
