Fenix II/III demos

Post by Morley »

Nothing too artistic here, just a spot where I thought it would be good to post Fenix demoes.
These are just me testing my system.

fascinating - I probably won't ever get one or see one so this is the closest I'll come to one. Thanks for sharing.

When i heard the fenix II/III getting in production i sent an email to Bert just before he determine the waiting list... I was really digging the first Fenix at this time. But i unfortunately had to cancel my "order" because of my actual Serge setup. Really different beasts so i don't regret anything but i can't stop thinking the Fenix is an amazing synth. And based on your demo it looks like it sounds marvelous too. Thanks for sharing ! :tu:

Cheers. It is amazing. So much variety and it all sounds excellent.
Of course, a Serge is also killer synth..but both wouldn't have hurt (except financially!) I am going to get a lot of use out of this.

something more noisy, just playing with the LPG and the Formant Filter vs. Phaser in the other channel. One take, NO external processing--also, did NOT use the delay. Just starting to sort out the seq, so annoying tempo tweaks.

jenamu6 : I've seen all of your Fenix videos and quite a few of your others, and this was my favorite so far. Exceptionally tasteful and skillful drumming.

Quick and silly fun, Fenix II example messing with its' unique Wave Multiplier and Formant Filter.
Basically this is only ONE VCO>Wave Mult>Formant Filter, with lots of modulation of course. Due to a shortage of patch cables(making more now) no VCAs or Envelopes were used. The delay and phaser were NOT used. No external processing

I just found out something really cool.

I have this Bohm Digital Drums, a funky german Linndrum soundalike.
This thing doesn't have midi, only tape sync....FSK

I got frisky, took a midi cable and cut of 1 connector, put the other one into the Bohm. Made earth connection and found the pin sending the FSK pulse.
I put the pulse into the Fenix Sequencer.......and now they are in sync.
