I'm starting to believe that this is the system belonging to the owner, or at least one of the moderators of that synth forum. He goes by the name of Island. Here are some sound samples he did:

Working with headphones would be the best solution if one was to work within the nightmarish acoustic confines of that first photo.

well, realistically there is no good way of presenting audio through loudspeakers to the operator of a "VLA" large-format modular.

and a special nod to Neandrewthals diy system! Quite possibly the most professionally crafted and unique diy stuff I've EVER seen!
- I can't believe it, this is just one year of soldering?

Favourite thing? The mountain of 1/4" logic at the top left, hehe.

Now that's unique

But, multiples? Don't you have any stacking cables? I though that was the number one reason for going bananas

Hahahahaha! :trampoline: Thanks muchlee! I'm having a ball coming up with new stuff for it. Funny as well as serious. Another one that I just have to transfer the 2 x T.Henry VCOs and Balanced Modulator into, is a Don Martin :rip: (Mag Magazine - legendary cartoonist) style cartoon of some doofus that hammered and broke a bell. ;)

Thankye greatly Nean! :) I always like having something that looks different from other's.

Stacking shmacking! :hyper: Hahaha. Actually - I do prefer to have dedicated 1k output impedances and dedicated 100k input impedances for everything, just in case, rather than going with stacking.
Plus - in making my own patch cables, I can make them whichever length that I need and they're far cheaper than stacking cable types.

All new pics of my modular from now on will be different as well. I just finished the 1st of my 3 new 19" racks, last night. Fully enclosed 1/2" thick plywood, stained with the purple colour that the older panels have. Looks smart. Can't wait to get the other 2 done, as the 1st of the new ones is now almost full. (Sequencers; master dividers and all ADSRs.)
Take care,
Warmth and Peace,
Rych
