I remember that with the Machinedrum Grilles would not respond to start/stop while it would when using the DAW and a MIDI interface or the BeatStepPro.
If it does depend on the firmware and not the MIDI mater, then it's cool cause this can be also added to the original firmware or the other alternatives.
I think the issue is the machinedrum sends clock regardless of whether the transport is running, maybe some other things don't? Anyways I couldn't sleep so I tried flashing the alt firmware. First impression is good. Grilles now starts and stops with the machinedrum!
Oh! Excellent. Good to know!!!
i don't know when, but I'll look into this Gritty-Grids to see what was modified for MIDI clock.
Heck yes, cool - the MIDI in could be very useful too. Hopefully you still have some. Email sent.
Reserved one - thanks Jas (and batchas!).

Hello all,
It took me a while but I managed to finally finish a batch of Grilles! Had a bit of a mare with figuring out how to flash the chips, these ones are all flashed with the original Grids / Euclidean firmware. If you're interested in one, my email is jasminembutt@gmail.com so send me a message
Getting hypnotised by mine already and so excited to fill my radio music with breaks.. Just been pinging my filters with it so far and I'm very satisfied
Thank you so much Robert and Bugs for all your generosity and help on my first full build!
Great to see this happening! I'm happy to have one from Robert's original runs, but it's great that more people can get it now. It pairs wonderfully with the Bug drum modules, and also don't forget to feed it wonky clocks!

For the midi-TRS jack dip switches on the rear:
Does '1+2 ON' correspond to TRS-midi Type B adapters (from Arturia & others)
and (I'm guessing) '3+4 ON' is for Type A? (Korg & others)
(Module shown is originally from @batchas)

@batchas - did that work out as expected?
It didn't and I gave up trying to have the alt. firmware "TheSlowGrowth" to have the same option. I'm sorry.
If I ever look into it again, it will not be before months, as I recently did get surgery and I'm out of order.
