A Rainbow of Patch Cables

Post by decaying.sine »

Look what just showed up on the doorstep! It's Skittles inspired instrument wire for patch cables. 24 gauge. http://www.rapcohorizon.com/

Looks like the site is down right now.

These make me...:goo: I mean, look at that pink and that neon green! :sb:

cue...unicorn

They use INST1.* for item number.
* is...
B for blue
P for purple
R for red
W for white
Y for yellow
NB for neon blue
NO for neon orange
NP for neon pink
NG for neon green
NY for neon yellow

The cables don't appear to be as high quality as the Canare GS-6, but I am sure they will be fine.

Their website must be mangled. It's been down for at least 5 or 6 hours.

Those neon ones are going to look sweet with my gold plated Neutrik NYS224G. Redco ran out of the other once and "upgraded" me to gold so now I feel obligated...

I think we need a "pimp your synth emoticon."

BLING!

I think you should have gone for all pink and baby blue to make your synth all pretty for the missus.

No doubt. When I throw baby showers, I'll have pink and baby blue patch cables up, then neon colors for 80's night...

I have to admit, when I first opened the box and saw the rainbow of fruit flavors, I though, "Ahhh, Brian loves rainbows and unicorns. I should send him some of these patch cables when I finish them."

It's back up again - direct link - http://www.rapcohorizon.com/p-548-inst1.aspx

I can't find any way to order direct from the site - is/was there a way to do that, or do you have to go through resellers?

You totally should, but only if you want me to love you forever. :loves: You are my patch cable sugar daddy.

Ooh,

Nice, do you know if anyone sells them in the UK?

Or anyone else have any ideas?

I am looking to get some new cables sorted out, those look like they could be just the ticket!

thanks!

These cable fit my neutrik wide barrell jacks 1/8", snugly. The cables are obviously heavier than your standard euro cable so it would be careful with them in shitty jacks.

So . . .

I was trying to figure out how to place an order from Rapco (again) and decided to try registering for an account to see if that made a shopping art or ordering instructions visible. An authorization code from an account manager is a required field in that process though. Do I need to call them, or am I totally missing something? Figuring out how to order pink patch cables is totally escaping me.

Cheers,
Brian

Not everybody has online ordering. My guess is you have to actually call them on the phone.

They got back to me. You have to fill out a form (which they sent in the return email) and submit it back to them at which point you are assigned a sales rep. Then log-in and place orders.

Was going to create a new thread asking if anyone knows where I could get cables like these in the UK. Rather than create a new thread I thought it would be more economical to revive this one (3 years later!)

So, did anyone figure how to order these, and are there any equivalents over here in the UK? Thanks!
