Every time I get notification about a new post here, my heart skips a beat, I get super excited, only to find that its someone looking for news.
I cant hold on to money, I know damn well when ever this thing gets released I will be broke. I have money now, I wish we would at least hear something.
Even if its bad news like the module wont be released for another year, I would love some kind of timeline, news, picture, something.
First off, thank you all so much for your patience, and more importantly your enthusiasm for the Sinfoniōn project. It really has been an inspiration hearing your responses and following the discussion.
There is a change in direction that I have to announce.
After some recent discussions, Mathias and myself will be parting ways on the Sinfoniōn as a collaborative Instruō module.
Mathias will be continuing development in Germany with ACL, so don’t worry! The module very much has a future!
Regarding Instruō. I am happy to say that things are going well.
The company is still young, but the team here in Glasgow is growing and production is ramping up. I am now working with a distributer to make the larger module range much more widely available very soon.
Many more new designs are in the pipeline as well!
I wish Mathias all the best with the Sinfoniōn’s future. It is going to be a spectacular module when it comes.
Mathias and myself do plan to continue collaborating on other projects, it’s unfortunate that practicalities didn’t work out in this instance for the Sinfoniōn.
Thank you all again for your support.
There will always be more HP to fill, so I’m getting back to my soldering iron.
Ha, I had a feeling about this one... the delays all together made this drop off my list for now. I'll wait and see how other folks like theirs/see what they do with it. If it offered MIDI connectivity that would definitely be a compelling factor for me as well. For now I'm just watching and looking forward to more info!
Man this is heartbreaking, it would have been such a great module. I was already extending my system for it. Looks like I will be playing my chords by hand for a while.
Good to see that Mathias is continuing with it, but that would take another year at least I guess....

Thanks for the info Jason and wish you both all the best. Just one question, if the sinfonion still has a future with Mathias has he got the waiting list info from your Instruo site?
first I wish to thank Jason for the great time we had in this projetct so far and for the successful completion of the prototype phase.
Now for the news: I will finalize the Sinfonion together with the well established Berlin based company ACL (Audiophile Circuits League), which some of you might know as manufacturers of highest quality analog modules. ACL will manifacture the Sinfonion and release it as part of their product line.
This implies some bad but also many good news. The bad news is that this means some further delay. This cannot be avoided in such a situation. The good news is that ACL will be able to give the project a much higher priority than Jason was able to. Furthermore, as is quite natural when a
new manufacturer takes this over, we will do one last slight redesign. Not only in order to match ACL standards like its faceplate design but also for meeting ACL quality standards like a multi layered PCB with a separate ground plane. This gave us the chance for adding two „missing“ buttons, two assignable pots and arranging the buttons in a more logical way.
Within the next days ACL will post a mockup of the new design - probably in a new topic with the title „ACL Sinfonion“. And hopefully some words about a release date that are a bit more reliable then previosly.

I really hope ACL will release some info soon! Also about size, and the new design. Come on ACL, we are all waiting!! :-)
Since it will be an ACL product, I have a feeling the price is going to end up being significantly higher than the original Instruo estimate. ACL products seem to be top notch (I haven't used any of them), but their prices are also at the top of the range - which you would expect with their quality standards.
I don't know. I feel like Sinfonion was already at the top of what I could imagine spending. I have a feeling it will be out of my price range now.
I'm just being pessimistic. I wish I could afford ACL products in general.

Thanks Mathias! Glad to hear things are still on track, and also to have some added capabilities.

I really REALLY hope there's a black option, but I doubt that'll happen. That being said, I'm grateful that it's still moving forward, and I can't wait to get one.
well, price & panel is a point, but im glad this will be made. Waiting for an ACL update very eagerly.

Glad to hear the project is still alive. I'm also still very interested (have a 38HP gap ready for months now), but I really hope the move to ACL doesn't increase the price. EUR.800,- is the limit for me.
I like the (in my opinion) classic look of ACL. Very curious about how they are going to translate the modern elements (display, backlit buttons) to their design language. We'll find out soon I guess...
Yes, the user interface on the Instruo version seemed perfect to me, I really hope they don't make radical adjustments for reasons of price, size or to fit in with their current line.
argh +160e, +4Hp... any good news ? personally not a big fan of square buttons o.v
2 assignable pots + 13th for both chords & arpeggios is the change i can see from the panel.
