By Muffwigglers......

viewtopic.php?t=101003

I was very happy with the result.
That project ended up costing me about $500 & lots of hours.
Not complaining, just letting you know before you start asking questions about PROFIT.
As far as I know... No Money was made by anyone involved.
I gave all of my discs away.
Several college stations play tracks from that disc :sb:

I'm no artist, but I'd buy a few of these records! I suppose we're not to that point though, but I'll be waiting.

What would qualify the track to be included?

Yes I will do this, but I have to get another R-54 which I am waiting to pay for. Definitely down to cut a track or two for your consideration. :sb:

Could be up for this again (Thanks Ritchie for everything BTW!) - considering Ive been sitting on my own album release for 2 years!

Would need to get my ducks in a row regarding the buy-in tho.

As for the bandcamp comp - I thought you put that up Ritchie???
Wouldn't be happy if it wasnt you or one of the 14 chaps...

Please do not buy it!
I am not sure where that money is going(Looking into this now....)
Besides, I'll give any Wiggler a copy for postage as I still have a small stack.

And I'd like to do another track in a different genre than the one I did in From the wires.

Sorry to be the negative Nelly in the group, but what makes you think simply changing the medium will increase success? If you failed to sell on CD, I don't think you'll have that much more success with vinyl. If people want to chip in just to have their track on wax, that's fine but don't kid yourself about boosting sales.

I believe everyone gave away most of theirs apart from the few kept for posterity.

I'm interested too, if you end up with extra space. My track would be pretty minimal, not sure if it would be what you are looking for.

I don't think anyone mentioned anything about success. I don't anyone expected for the CD to sell in the first place. When you are active in recording and releasing music it's a solid promo piece. It's something nice to toss in the envelope when another album is purchased. Or when someone buys some gear. If you do gigs its nice to have a record occupy some space on a table. A record is WAY better at calling attention to itself than a CD or cassette. If IF someone prefers to by the smaller formats... they'll see the record first. All KINDS of good reasons to keep producing content and releasing on a physical format. For some it'll be a nice vanity piece. For others promo.

Double vinyl sounds very cool.
Can you maybe breakout costs for extra copies?
Say 40 or 50???

What's the time scale for this also does the track have to be entirely modular?

I've literally got my first module (Omsonic RNO) and HEK two days ago, I've produced some nice sounds but a track could be a long way off.
