STOMPER PCB+Panel

Post by thx2112 »

This took WAAAY longer than I thought.

Image

STOMPER is a percussion generator that uses an unfiltered square-wave oscillator. Quickly sweeping the oscillator results in a satisfying high-q-sounding zip and thud thanks to all the crazy harmonics.

Image

Features:

-Glorious 1 bit audio.
-CV on all controls.
-Gate output for external ADSR (or whatever).
-Clock or trigger input.
-Clock/Trigger Divider.
-Arduino-compatible programming header, code provided.
-Unused I/Os broken out for hacking.
-8HP Eurorack.

This video shows the gate and oscillator on an oscilloscope:

I have a limited number of PCBs and aluminum panels available, as well as pre-programmed microcontrollers, for US$30 a set. The limiting factor is panels as they are silkscreened by myself when I have time and it takes a lot of time to set-up. I have 10 ready to go and another 10 could be ready next week.

It's coming. The electronics have been converted to Eurorack and I'm almost done the panel. But the build has to be made simpler (currently uses all offboard wiring and some SMT components.)
