You have no idea what it does and only know that it has two pots, jacks and an usb port.... so no matter what it actually does, as long as you can connect your op-1 (which has no relation to monome whatsoever) to it, you are like OMG?
some audio, please.... or it never happened!

the audio(?) in/outs are super interesting. a simple sequencer based module to work with the monome would be an easier approach but this probably means we're going to get some of the wilder realtime sampling stuff as well!

MLR with the 4 numbered jacks controlling pitch/stretch of each group? or triggering when to record? it might look kind of vanilla but these guys have done some seriously impressive stuff with simpler interfaces before.

Igor Berlin I was just speculating that it could possibly run as midi host for other devices too! I think it's actually a plausible assumption dude.

bkinsman if it worked with OP1 I would be even more interested myself
:tu:

Wonder if Launchpad could work with it. Interesting module anyway.

i doubt it'll work with any other USB devices. isn't the whole idea of monome's data transfer that it's OSC over USB, not MIDI? that'll make it incompatible with 99% of other USB devices out there, no?

if it does allow for connection to a monome, it'll use serial, not osc.

if also support launchpad/push devices will be fantastic!!!

maybe can handle only "midi" patches, and convert to cv/gate,anyway is a greate idea.

Thank you.

I'm not upset... was just wondering what you (and some others) were getting so excited about. Sure, monome is a great company and probably did something good here.... but I'm not so much into hyping products, which are not out yet, especially if the functionality is completely unknown at this point. Also about the prices and so on... if its under 200 some people here claim they will buy it no matter what it is :despair:

Perhaps it's an Aleph expander?

I was distracted by the fact that it says Monome close to USB slot.

Looking forward to finding out more details on Monday.
Let's try not to speculate anymore we'll make igor upset

Last guess...
4 out with a/b....clk i/o. Button cycles thru a/b 1/2/3/4 with led indicating selection and parameter knob adjusts selected "thing".. Tactile rule counter, Meadowphysics-esque maybe?
