Update February 15th 2015:
I opened a new order thread in order to make it easier for me. You can find it here: https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=133177&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=
This will be the build thread from now on. So if you have any questions about this module, this is the right place to ask.
Update December 11:
I just got new PCBs

I will send out PMs later this day.
Update September 16:
I sent out all paid orders today.
To the few people who didn't pay already: Please make your payment now or drop me a line if you don't want it anymore. I can only wait until next weekend because there are a few more people who want PCBs and Panels.
Also if you just have a problem with the payment and need some more time, that's ok but you will have to let me know. If I don't hear anything from you, your reservation will be lost.
Update September 14:
They finally arrived

I will start shipping tomorrow. There are a few people who didn't pay yet, so this is the moment to do it. I will also send a little reminder out to everyone who didn't already pay.
Update August 18:
Boards are in

I just built one and it works

So I can send out PCBs and PCB panels in the next days.
If you don't have any aluminium panels in your order, please make your payment now.
I will send out PMs tomorrow.
I'm still waiting for the aluminium panel prototype. So I can't send out stuff to the people who ordered them yet. I apologize for the delay. I hope to get the prototype this week and I will make the big order right away after getting it.
I really don't want to risk to have 100 aluminium panels, that don't fit, I hope you can understand that.
Update July 30:
After a bit of technical problems I just ordered the PCBs and PCB panels

So Pre-Order is closed now. I will have a few spare boards and panels but I'm gonna keep them until everybody on the list received his order, just to make shure nothing goes wrong. If you didn't order until now, drop me a line and I will add you to the waiting list.
The manufacturer said, it will take 6-8 days to make and ship the boards and another 3-5 days for delivery. Based on my experiences from last time I think it will last a bit longer, maybe 2-3 weeks, but I'd be glad if they proved wrong.
Let's hope for the best.
The prototype for the aluminium board will be here at the 11th of august, if it's all good I will order them on the same day.
So I think I should be able to ship all the stuff in mid-late august.
Please keep in mind that I will need your money then

I'm trying to raise some funds to be able to order the aluminium panels, which is the most expensive part of this project. A lot of you guys already paid, which helps a lot. I'm sure I will have everything together when it's payment time.
If you want to pay now please send your money to horstronic t icloud dot com
Thanks!
Update July 28:
The prototype boards arrived today

I just built a prototype and it works perfectly!
Here's how it looks like:

The bad news is: As you might have already seen, the silkscreen on the panel is out of alignment, which sucks. But that seems to be the price we have to pay when ordering such cheap boards. Also there are these codes on the upper right side of the panel, which is actually my fault. The manufacturer does that and it's written down in their FAQ, which I forgot about.
I will check out how to remove that, probably by just flipping the panel, because it's only on one side.
You can file away a bit of the holes so the jacks will be in the right positions, just like that:

Whoever ordered PCB panels and don't want them anymore, please tell me. I will also send PMs regarding that.
I will make the big order soon, so we're not that far away anymore

Update July 15:
I uploaded the BOM. You can download it here:
Buffered Multiple Documentation
I also got a notification from the manufacturer, the prototype boards are on their way

Update July 14:
Ok, I got the quote from the manufacturer and it turned out to be cheaper than I thought!
So the aluminium panels will cost 8,50 Eur
Here's the recent design on which the quote was based on:

It also turned out that I can get the panels made from PCB material a lot cheaper than I thought, so I was able to lower the price for that.
So here are the updated prices:
PCB: 5 Eur
Panel (PCB material): 5 Eur
Aluminium panel: 8,50 Eur
These prices are settled now.
So now I need you to specify your order. Everybody who expressed interest for panels, please edit your post and specify what kind of panel you want!
Update July 12:
I ordered the prototypes yesterday, according to the manufacturer they will be here in 8-12 Days.
When the prototypes arrive, I will build one unit and if everything works out I will make the big order after that.
I will check out the price for aluminium panels in the meantime.
Here are pictures of the latest revision of the PCB and panel:

Original post:
Hey guys,
I'm doing a run of PCBs and Panels for a buffered multiple, based on a schematic from daverj (thank you Dave!), posted and discussed in this thread:
https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=74951
The PCB will contain two 1->3 buffered multiples, with the option to cut it in half and have two seperate 1->3 multiples with an eurorack power connector on both PCBs. If you use both multiples on one board, the first one will be normalled to the second one.
It is designed for these jacks: PJ302M
But you can off course use any other jacks. That's why I also included mounting holes.
The panels will also be made of PCB material. I do this mainly because it's cheap and easy. I normally make aluminium panels on my own, but I don't want to do that in larger quantities. I'm trying this out for the first time, so I hope they will turn out nice

Here are some pictures of the current designs. If you spot any failures, feel free to tell me!
Pictures deleted in order to prohibit confusion...
As you might notice, the jacks are standing off the PCB a bit. That's because I'm trying to make this as cheap as possible. The PCB is now 100x65mm, if I made it bigger it would be more expensive.
I could do it though, if everybody wants it.
Pricing is not settled yet, but it will be cheap (as I already said

Should be something around 5-6€ per board + shipping (maybe even cheaper if there is enough interest). I'm not trying to make money with this, I basicly do it to get some experiences as I'm planning to do more eurorack stuff in the future (with my own designs obviously).
So if you're interested, this is the place to tell me. Also if you have any ideas to make this better, I'd be glad if you shared your ideas!
I will take some time to gauge interest and optimize the board layouts, probably a week or two and then order a small first batch of PCBs and panels. If everything turns out good there will be a bigger batch after that.
