A utility lfo module would be a dream. Or just a remake of the syn1 for hard sync'd oscillators to be used as clocks/modulation/audio sources. I'm dying to get my hands on a syn1  think maybe a chirper will tide me over though.

Been having so much fun with the COF -

(Headphones for stereo action!)

Lots of other CoF featured clips on there too.

or maybe mixer (VC panner and VC send-return for PTdelay) :hihi:

Sounds so good Chris! I'm short of mixer inputs for separate outs :waah:

It's probably not recommended but ... it'd be simple to add bananas to the COFilter case and get all the functionality of an expander.

Man I had a vague idea about how this would sit with my other gear when mixing but it really blows my mind how versatile it is when processing a mono signal into stereo... now I wish I had two of these... :deadbanana:

Back in stock. Kinda want another! Pinging these things is heaven, the tone is so woody it's like instant xylophone.

Not to mention their ability create wide and dynamic stereo fields from mono sources.
The brain is always greener on the other side.

New crossover filter (particularly the proto expander) is looking seriously awesome Tom. It has me pondering it back into my system.....

Hey Tom, the level controls on the expander - those are audio attenuators rather than having any amplification capabilities right?

Yes indeed.

Ideas with the Expander (which is about ready for production - though that might still take some months) are both that it can fill a 5FW case, but also looking towards stereo application - the addition of VC-resonance should help that, I think. Need to set up a proper stereo test system!

Yeah that's a neat idea..... really enjoyed doing that with the old expander but the attenuators are definitely a big plus, let alone the vc resonance. hmm this has me thinking hard, been a while since I've considered a red to accompany the blue.

The new revision and expander look great, Mr. Bugs! Congratulations!

My OG crossover and expander reside in a frame with two PTDelays and a dual preamp. It's a joy.

Guys, may I ask you for a little demo? No need for the video, an audio file would be just perfect.
For the first time I'd like to hear something very specific from a unit that can do a very wide range of tasks.

What I'm interested in is what happens to a sound, while experimenting with phase (Series mode, Polarity switches) and different bands mixing and changing, with much focus on vari BP.

Zero Q is preferable (or add to taste towards the end).

Mono output, no effects, line recording

Drum machine or any other drums / percussion as a source. No modulars or synths this time, sorry. Any acoustic source would be fantastic, but can be problematic, I guess, so a classic drum machine or any drum loop would do it for me. White noise would also be very effective as a source

Maybe a bit of int. modulation and overdrive near the end of the demo

Sorry for such a weird request - I have too many great filters in my studio already, but this one still seems very unique for some special applications!
Also, sorry in advance if I'm not getting what this unit is about - that's what I'm trying to figure out, so feel free to call me an idiot any time)

I'll see what I can do biom -- it'd be good to have a more recent video covering the uses you suggest - just a question of actually getting on to it!!

Thank you, Tom! The video would be a luxury! I hope it won't take much of your time and, perhaps, would be interesting to others too, as these features are what distinguish it from many other filters out there (apart from its fantastic sound I can judge by yours and others' demos), if I'm getting it right.

Yes, I just got the CO Filter so a video would be invaluable!

Meanwhile, I decided to replicate these CO settings on my modular, though, without Polarity changes (not sure how exactly is this implemented). As I'm interested in mono processing mostly, I must say I was not so impressed. I'm sure, stereo is where it shines and where many people here found its strength too. At least, Tom's earlier stereo demos are very exciting, though, I try to be more boring these days with all sorts of stereo mangling, no matter how fantastic these psychoacoustic effects are. Although, still excited to hear the demos and prove myself wrong, as always!

Sorry, still haven't had a chance..
I have rarely bothered with the multi-output stereo approach -- almost all the time I personally use the COFilter as an Aux send to add extra tonalities, with a little panning to widen the stereo field.
