Haha was gonna post that video too. Had the phonogene already but it sold me on the 601. Swapped a JAG for the Dr. Octature though.

A great demo indeed. A pity he didn't record the audio line-in. The 601 looks amazing. I gotto have that. And I might just swap a planned purchase of an MMG for and Octature. Damnit! So hard to choose.

I have to say, this video has really gotten me interested in the Echophon. 3:26 is ridiculous! Love that sound.

... problem is, it's pretty much the only good demo of it I've heard. Haven't liked any of the others in the least, so pretty torn over whether to get one or not.

James Cigler's DPO and Rene videos are excellent (all of them really), I still watch them for little refreshers.
http://vimeo.com/jamescigler/videos

The recent Make Noise videos showing using Pressure Points with Rene made me just buy a PP and Brains.

Ughhhhh why did you post that 601 video, why did I even click on this thread :deadbanana:

And i already suspected someone pulling the Look around you Maths episode ;)

For me Mr Cigler's videos seemed to be doing the trick at most. Bought the Vulcan after checking this one and the Wave Boss after that one.

Well, it was not just one video, but this one got me excited.

Sorry read that as "modular", not "module" in the headline. Cannot figure out how to delete a post.

+1 for Cigler vimeo videos on Rene, Echophon, Phonogene...don't own any of those but will be getting them soon.

Another +1 for the Metropolis in a cardboard box case. Purchased the Metropolis after watching it that on repeat for a few days.

yeah as far as tutorial videos James Cigler > most people. Whenever a module is kinda esoteric or complex thats the only way I get how it works before buying it.

strange. something's up on Vimeo's end. when I go to the link (http://vimeo.com/45488499) I get "Permission denied."

but when I embed it here, it works:

@xclark
the only workaround I knew (see http://danbeahm.blogspot.it/2014/01/vim ... eocom.html) is also not working.
Anyway thanks for posting it, I saw it some time ago but forgot to bookmark it...
I think it's one of the best eurorack demo around! I'm still trying to figure if addac601 is the way to go, or maybe I would be better off buying a doepfer vocoder subsystem (or part of it)

I've been looking for a gate sequencer that could easily shift the gates' positions off the grid of regular steps.
Finally found a way to get more than simple clock divisions or multiplications.
Infinite Propagate chains...
