It turned out really nice Bishop! Good job.Bishop Dust wrote:Here s some pictures of my new DIY case, 12U / 104hp.
It fits the plane carry on lugages dimensions...
Post pics of your euro setup!

Sorta newbie, new system, great plans...
I'd been reading about the resurgence of interest in modular, analog synths for a while, then went up to the MMTA Synthfest this spring, in Shoreline, WA.
I got a look at some Eurorack stuff, saw my old colleague Mark Mosher perform -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... ANFQ9Vj4Jo and then decided to jump in... all the way in...
Anyway, this is the greatest forum imaginable. Now, for those blank spaces....
Ok, order is reversed. Imagine, you're travelling backward in time, viewing my posts... sheesh.

- Somehow, I left out some key modules. How does that work ?

Here's a picture of my new case - it's a Monorocket MX-104 that I just got a couple of weeks ago. I started with a Pittsburgh Modular Foundation, but I outgrew the original skiff. Here you see the Foundation plus some additional PM modules, and the Metasonix R-51.

My plan is to add another PM Oscillator, the Bender as soon as it's available, and then I'll probably chill with that for a while as I focus on making music. I also have the IDOW special edition module on order when that puppy comes out.

This looks like a really fun setup. The more and more I read up on Intellijel modules the more I'm reorganizing my modular plans for the future hahaalcolmx wrote:Humble Eurorack beginnings... I basically wanted a second oscillator for a Minibrute, and the Brute has already been relegated to sub osc duties (probably no surprise to y'all). Danjel at Intellijel was very helpful, not to mention patient, with my newbiness. What next!?! What next!?!
Just wondering: If the Rubicon is your second favourite... what's your first? My second favorite oscillator for sure.
Rubicon is on my list, as is the Triatt. The Quadra expander hadn't crossed my mind, but the DixieCTRL had. Perhaps both are in order.
Also figure the Mult or Buff Mult would be a good idea, though I'm not sure what the advantage of the Buff is over the regular Mult. Anyone?
Also eyeballing the René and perhaps the Echophon.
Yikes!

My favorite is the DPO. The Rubicon/Dixie combo are a very close second though. The buff. mult is important for certain CV sources that aren't buffered. As you stack outputs on it, the voltage drops. This is bad for pitch sequencing for instance. Some manufacturers (like make noise) buffer all of their outputs, so you can use stackcables or passive mults without any voltage loss.
Rene and echophon are endless fun for sure. Look out for the Intellijel Metropolis which is very imminent...
