[interest check] MIDI2CV DIY MIDI to CV/Gate -- round 2!

Post by hexinverter »

Hey wigglers!

It's about time that I'm gearing up to do another run of MIDI2CV eurorack kits and panel/PCB sets. They'll be available in June/July!

A fine gentleman by the name of Dmitry has been so kind as to take the original firmware and make it WAY better! The new kits/sets will include this fresh firmware! (to follow the new firmware changes, see Dmitry's thread here: viewtopic.php?t=93855 )

This new firmware will also be open sourced on my site once the project is available.

I need to have an idea of how many to stock though, so please let me know your interest here!

Here's Dmitry's new firmware thread: viewtopic.php?t=93855

Here's the original MIDI2CV thread (find more module information here): viewtopic.php?t=75544

Here's my project page for the project: http://cv.hexinverter.net/?projects=midi2cv-v10

I've been waiting on these to come back in stock for a while now, so count me in for at least one pcb+panel set, possibly two if I can swing it.

I want one of these so badly. Doubly so if they really do really do run up to 10V in the CV output. My A-190 doesn't hit that high and is missing some awesome phrases on my Flame Talking Synth.

Overseas shipping for PCBs/chips should be $9 and a kit in a parcel should be $18! :cloud:

Stacy,

Do you sell just the firmware in a chip?
I'd just like to change my chip from the previous one. :despair:

Have there been any changes to the board? (for instance, an headers added for added input lines so that Dmitry could possible leverage for add-ons/switches? his code looks awesome and so much functionality has been added; it would be handy if some of this could be hardwired to a switch or two; not necessarily for your design and panel but for a more DIY solution/extension).

The PCBs will be left over stock from the first run. So no hardware changes. Sorry! :waah:
