SEQ 1 question

Hi

Is it possible to skip a step on the SEQ 1?
Is it as simple as skipping a step on the easel 5 step seq for instance or does it have to be patched up some way?

You can skip one of the 'end' steps if you patch one of the step outs back to the reset, but there's no direct way to skip individual steps.
(I guess you could perhaps somehow generate a double trigger to get it to step quickly over two steps - not quite sure how though!)
My use was typically to get the direction to change in interesting ways to get away from repetitious 8 step loops.

I often make strange patterns in it by feeding bursts of clocks, basically gating a VCO or fast LFO through a VCA. If they're sufficiently fast, you won't hear much in between, and you can jump around. With some fiddling, you can do interesting stuff this way, like playing every third step, etc.

Maybe this isn't what you wanted to do, but it's a useful patch trick.

Patch the step gate output of the one you want to skip to a CLK4A with the delay set to the fastest possible time for a double trigger when summed with the clock feeding the seq1 through diode director if necessary?
