Korg Odyssey - markings on front panel

Post by chamomileshark » Wed Nov 28, 2018 5:00 am

Picked up my new Rev1 (white face) Odyssey module yesterday.

One thing I have noticed is that there are small paler markings on the black metal at the front (almost like it's got tiny splashes on it) and also tiny raised spots on the label.

Is this normal?

The black models have the same subtle "splatter" paint job on the panel, so from your description I'd say it is normal.

I'm not quite sure what is like that you're describing but my white one doesn't have anything noticeably abnormal. mine is keyboard, btw.

Nothing to worry about... It's the same paint effect as the original 1978 MKIII Oddy.

It just proves how much attention Korg are taking to get it right.
