wow - thanks for this

Its an organ of sorts - to my ear - with position as a kind of formant speech generator

Oh, and that's just a fraction of what Position does! Keep exploring, there's more. :mygod:

The "source" part doesn't change, it's just switching different FXs (controlled by position).

Ridiculous stuff.

Thanks yet again Olivier, I only had the briefest of runs through everything but so much coolness in there. 6 new modes/variations (unless you've somehow hidden more in there!)

I'm sorry, but I don't get it. What's the 'secret handshake'? How to activate it? Or is that still a secret, and the news are intended more like a teaser?

Edit: Ah, I have been let into the secret... Until now I had been having so much fun with the default modes, that I hadn't bothered trying to find any secret ones. More reasons why Elements user also need Rings! :bananaguitar:

ah right - thanks for the clarification - do the different polyphony modes act effectively like stops on an organ - it sounds to my ear like thats changing the sound like you would by mixing different stops on an organ. and brightness is like a harmonic scan?

Its utterly amazing whatever is going on - thank you so much for everything you do.

1 = fat chord (8 notes), but when a new chord starts (trigger on STRUM or a change on V/Oct), it cuts the previous chord.
2 = slimmer chord (6 notes), but when a new chord starts, the old chord can still be heard.
4 = even slimmer chord (3 notes), allowing several consecutive chords to overlap (very obvious with DAMPING near 3 o'clock).

Brightness scans through various arrangement of the drawbars, sorted by brightness. The available registers are 8' "dark square", 4' "bright square", 2' "bright square", 8' saw, 4' saw, 2' saw. "dark square" and "bright square" are the round (low-passed square) and reedy (high-passed square) waveforms found in divider organs. Big big influence was the Roland RS-09. And disasterpeace. So yes, that's 72 oscillators :)

Is there a clue or some membership dues I'm missing to learn the secret handshake? :hmm:

The strings are hidden in the egg.
We begin low to the ground but will build our structure high!
It will be dark, so position yourself all the way up the hill.
And remember that although it is quite damp in the center, the children must take turns.
(https://soundcloud.com/fourhexagons/rin ... -handshake)

So I would suggest to turn the knobs for frequency down, structure up, brightness down, damping in the middle and position up

however i was not able to enter the secret mode. not sure what to do with the "children" (litte attenuator pots i think)
