Have temp co resistors a different color coding?

Post by Leverkusen » Sun Jan 03, 2016 1:11 pm

I ordered three of the recommended 1K +3000ppm/K temp co resistors together with my PCB's. Now that I started to work on the modules (VRG as a first one) I am a little confused because the resistors I found in my packet look like this and I struggle to read 1K out of the stripes.

After making a Noise Toaster that is not working and a Radiomusic that is, this is my third project so I am sure I get something wrong here and would appreciate some advice... :hmm:

EDIT: On my workbench the two stripes far most on the right do look more like black-brown than blue-violet as they do above.

Brown-black-red = 1000 Ohms
Orange-black = 30(00) ppm/K
