over the last year I have been asked for music from a number of bands I was in during the mid 70's thru early 90's. Some have got onto compilations and others have been pressed into limited run vinyl. The latest was done by Bureau B records and is a release of material from Young Scientist. "Results no Answers" on vinyl, digital and CD

There also were releases on Vinyl on Demand, Domestica and Cherry Red labels of Young Scientist, K7SS, and Sequencer People, all music from that era. I was flattered in the interest but a bit puzzled too. All these labels were EU based companies and I had to guess the resurgence of Electronic Music interest was the fuel for making them.

I released an album of mostly three minute synth/folk pop songs a while back. There's some wiggle on there (buchla, bug and serge) but for the most part this is vocals, keys, guitar, harmonium and sometimes autoharp...

I'm a bit proud to finally release my new all-modular-album about birds with the rather awkwarded title Oiseaux d’Electronique en Suède. Five years in the making, it's been a fun project to invent and document these birds and put them in musical context. Hear some of the greatest soloist in the West Coast of Sweden: Korntrast (Cornthrush), Fyrkantsskata (Squarewave Magpie), Lödsångare (Soldering Singer), Rampmes (Ramptit), Sinusskogssnäppa (Sine Sandpiper), Glitchuv (Glitch Owl) and the Aylerfink (Aylerfinch). Do enjoy!

Great forum! Been lurking for a while and decided to join!

Here's tracks from the 2nd Aethellis album - Tracks 2 (The Awakening) and 7
(Exchequer Prague) are the more electronica-styled tunes.

[bandcamp width=400 height=208 album=288378211 size=large bgcol=ffffff linkcol=0687f5 artwork=small track=2891508333]

I was just going to post those 2 but every time the embed code for some reason defaulted to the first track even though the preview was correct. :despair: Ah well, you can skip those other track as they are more prog rock. Much of the album is mostly me, with some co-written with my guitarist pal.

Available on CD and download (Melodic Revolution Records, iTunes, Google Play, CD Baby, etc.)

Sleep Cycle by The Last Ambient Hero

Post by ambienthero » Fri Jul 19, 2019 6:44 am

Proud to announce my next work and first label release, Sleep Cycle on the rather wonderful Berlin-based Inner Space Travels label.

5 tracks each inspired by the 5 stages of sleep, with each stage encoded with frequencies that complement the brain's natural state in each phase of sleep. All pitches, delay times and tempos have been carefully calculated to also sit within the corresponding brainwave ranges. In addition, the length of each stage mirrors the average amount of time we spend in each stage of sleep during an average 90 min sleep cycle.

[bandcamp width=100% height=120 album=2401891870 size=large bgcol=ffffff linkcol=0687f5 tracklist=false artwork=small]

Out 29th July on digital and C90 cassette.

To celebrate, here's a load of free codes to my previous release, Messier87 that you can redeem at http://thelastambienthero.com/yum

Cheers and thanks for listening.

I have a few newish albums on Bandcamp. All are available as pay what you want, starting from 0$ and also under a CC BY 3.0 license.

The first one, "Somatic System" was inspired by the SOMA Lyra-8 and uses it on every track.

The second one, "Tiny Robots", is my showcase of the tiny synths in my collection like Volcas, the UNO Synth, L.E.P Arpopone etc., trying out what I could do with those (this is the opposite of DAWless, lots of overdubbing and VST effects in use). I also tried to make each track quite different from each other in terms of sound and musical style.

The third one, "Night in the Laboratory of Popular Electronics", started as a series of late night explorations of the L.E.P Multicassa and Arpopone.

This is first release of my project ГОСПОДЬ ДРАКОНЪ (The Lord Dragon in russian). Musically, it is experimental electronics ranging from dark ambient fields to post-industrial constructions. All music written on my Eurorack system in real time, without post-production. All mixing in the case.
Mastering by Alexandr Vasiliev.
MCs will be available soon. If you interested, just write me.
Full digital album available on Bandcamp for 0.00$, but any donate are welcome.

Thanks for support!

I took part in a 2 tape, 4 artist split called RAVE CASE. The other 3 mixes are DJ mixes but I did a live, 30 minute, all original set of modular breaks, gabber and techno. Enjoy! Grab a copy of you're feeling frisky!

RAVE CASE - not available streaming yet - though hopefully someday!

Also did a little mix a while back that's, again, all modular - lots of breaks!!

Alta One Minimix - highly streamable!

Thanks for the support yall

Hypnotic techno. The specific track linked here was made using Malekko Richter oscillators (one of the best sounding oscillator combinations IMHO) and Loquelic Iteritas.

Dark ambient / drone / stoically uplifting / haunted / uneasy listening / calmly foreboding

[bandcamp width=100% height=120 album=2047322437 size=large bgcol=ffffff linkcol=0687f5 tracklist=false artwork=small]

Inspired by the ancient Greek practice of incubation, caverns, stormy skies and the mysteries of dreaming.

Single take improvisations on modular synth, Yamaha Reface CS through Elektron Analog Drive, & software.

ANMA // Toroid Deconstruction (Syncopathic.Recordings)
Out now and available from the Syncopathic Bandcamp Store as well as all other major digital outlets (Beatport, iTunes, Spotify, Apple Music, etc.).

„Toroid Deconstruction“ is seventeen minutes of dirty, analog electronics ranging from 77 to 178 bpm.
An endlessly rotating toroid that deconstructs slowly over time to finally dissolve in a fog of total chaos in 7/8 time.
