No experience with the 2600 single vco module but I have a full behringer 2600 synth and it’s amazing.

Same here!

I'm hoping it's as stable and well behaved as the B2600's VCO's are.

Yeah I was surprised when I turned on the 2600 to work on a patch I working on 3 days later and all 3 oscillator where still perfectly in tune! That never happens in my eurorack.

I tuned my Behringer analogs once they're all warmed up. I haven't had to retune them in weeks unless one of the ferrets scrambles around the tuning pegs/knobs. The part I appreciate about their synths - like B2600 - is the tracking is accurate from the factory. The eurorack VCO's... eh, not so much.

Since it was a single item, it's taking the USPS slow route.

boop!

LED's TOO BRIGHT. another of the new potentiometer packaging. these kind of suck. theres no visible value printed on them. I have to pull one to see if it's stamped on the bottom - or just a place I haven't seen; printing on the bottom is too stupid for words - but I can see the same brand stamped on the side, so we're dealing with new parts inventory.

I'll take it apart tomorrow when there's better light to see.

Looking forward to it. ;)

hmm, so yeah, there is no way to check the value of this potentiometer without removing it. wow.

I like the separate waveform outputs of this VCO better than the B1004 toggle select as an LFO.
---
I put it through some casual paces, and it sounds as good as the B2600 VCO's. the OOTB sine symmetry needs some tweaking.

but, it sounds good! not sure how you can make one make a four-waveform VCO sound bad... tracking is good.

once I trace the brightness LED's I can leave it on without acid-burnout-eyeballs.

Thanks for the pics Skywriter! :tu:

The thing that stands out for me most -in a good way- is the slide switch. Note the extended legs. instead of simply extending the plastic of the actuator as so many switch mfrs prefer. Much better mechanics and likely a fractopenny more than the more common longer actuator method.

This to me shows that at least 'someone' at Behringer is looking at more than cost.

Edit: Or that they're playing to people like me and have taken out far more fractopennies somewhere else! ;)

I'm interested in seeing what's coming out of the pipeline with audio taper pots. All the new build stuff has linear parts - or they were in the originals.

Tomorrow the B1027 comes and I can button up the bottom part of the BARP rig's packaging.

I wonder how much are emergency part substitutions due to shortages.

Kind of odd there's not even a simple jumper to kill the power to the LED's, never mind a different resistor value option, considering the complaints on their full 2600 clone brigthness/colors.
