It's a pretty bad name, but my current vote is for Nonlinearcircuits "The Suppository of All Wisdom".

Thanks! I've been saving that module name for years, waiting for the design that fits it best. :tu:

speaking of knobs, I'm wondering if I can request the larger ones when ordering an assembled module.
Yes, but it would not be a good idea for some modules tightly spaced like Null-A or ARSEq

Re: NLC in 2022. (Five new modules!!!)

I would like a little advice from fellow Nonlinear Circuits users and/or Andrew... I am considering getting the Encephalo Adjuster. From the video (below), it appears on the oscilloscope that the phase shifting of the Encephalo makes it possible to feed it a square wave / gate signal and have the w...

Re: Pet peeves in eurorack

The DnM can be used for subtle effects but it is really designed to sound like an engine tearing itself apart, during a car crash, in slow motion. Usually the original input sound is quite lost when you get to the output, it will actually just run on feedback and doesn't even need an input. So, I th...

Re: Pet peeves in eurorack

And I've heard Eurorack module demos that leave me completely unsure as well. Nonlinearcircuits' Delay No More is a good example. All the YouTube demos are horrible IMO - just bleeps and bloops going through it. If I owned the company, I post a proper demo. :tu: Thanks for the tip, I will try harde...

One point, when choosing DG chips: don't get the cheaper ones with "L" in the name. The L means low voltage and they only run on +/-8V.

Re: Question about NLC circuit using LDR

Sorry for the migraines, had 1 or 2 in my time. Yes, you are correct, everything is connected to the green square. Think of it as a 48 channel mixer with only one input and various groupings of outputs. The same voltage or signal goes thru each channel. The amount of light hitting each LDR determine...

Re: Analog DX7 in euro?

Hi
I designed this to make an analogue FM panel. 6 of these along with 6 or so EGs (developed a 4HP one to go with it) and a couple of mixers, should provide some entertainment.

Re: Updated SSI2130 VCO Datasheet available...

Finally pulled my finger out and got this one sorted. Huge Thanks to Neil for his help. I designed this to be a FM Operator in the Chowning sense, so 4HP and only the sine output (which very rarely looks like a sine when used with intent) The schematic is in the build guide. Most of it is from the d...

I did have a plan to use "noir" in the names for all the black box modules, but it didn't get any further than Shat Noir and Noiro-ze (Japanese for neurosis).

Which FETs and DG chip did you use? DG411DY - SPST SOIC16 MMBFJ112 - N-Channel 35V 5mA 350mW SOT23OT23 BCM857DS.115 BC847.215 (also tried BC847A) TL074CDT Ok, all good. My main rack fits: 1 of every NLC (there’s a handful of duplicates tbf, but not really SURPLUS duplicates iykwim) 1 IFM system 1 Pam’s With about 2hp to spare. I’m in trouble if @AndrewF brings out any more modules. You are in trouble, got 5 or 6 ready to go, just too busy building modules recently...

Hey, I'm in need of some support for my DIYed Feague. Did it along with a friend of mine and we encounter the very same problem so we're fairly certain it's not a soldering issue, rather some part we sourced wrong or something. When we turn on the modules it looks like they do a single cycle and th...
