Re: Slewed Random Voltages modules

Sauce of Unce Does it have built-in slew? How would you compare it to the Helvetica Scenario? Yes - VC Slew from the Random Out. It is basically the Buchla 265 Source of Uncert with changes made to eliminate the 24V rail, use commonly available components and deliver eurorack voltages. The Hel Scen...

They state the divide&conquer is the partner in crime. do you know if one DQ is ok for two Bins? Or would I need a 2+2 combo?
One would be fine, you would have a lot of fun.

with pt2399, you are prob safe getting them on ebay or aliexpress. Of course, some risk but generally it is not the sort of thing they bother faking and only a couple of dollars.

Sorry should have said this before but or 95% of the BOM, it is much cheaper and easier to order from Tayda.
Just get the less common parts from Mouser..............assuming they have stock

Re: Nonlinearcircuits 2021

What up dudes, I am almost done with the passives BOM cart for NULL-A2. I have a questions for now that would help me finish up that part of it. Some of the parts I had to use 0.25W 1/4W and some were 0.125W 1/8W depending on availability. I understand it just needs to be over 1/8W. However some pa...

I am wondering if pcb-pabels for some of the newer modules—specifically bongo fury and stooges—will be coming to North American resellers soon? Or are these only going to be sold direct for the while?
Yes - shipped a huge box of goodies to Synthcube last week.
It includes Bongo fury and Stooges.

Re: Nonlinearcircuits 2021

Thanks, good to know. Looking for a 10v modulator so I guess I'll just offset it. Can I ask another NLC noob question: is there a summary comparison of the various random & chaos modules? There's so many of them! What I am looking for is somewhere between Turing Maschine, Source of Uncertainty and ...

Re: Joranalogue ORBIT 3 - Double-Scroll Chaos Oscillator

how different is it from Fritz Hypster? asking because I build all NLC and want/have all Joranalogue. The circuits are quite different. Although O3 has one less dimension, it adds temperature compensation, V/oct. pitch tracking, better attractor control, reset input, gate/pulse output and balanced ...

Re: Nonlinearcircuits 2021

I guess the Dual VCO and Timbre already provide the key pieces in relatively few hp. What would you look to add? Maybe a common V/oct input and some normalised routing? Hmm, that could be fun to do with a custom panel! I know it can be patched up in a dozen ways with different NLC modules, I'd just...

Re: Nonlinearcircuits 2021

A part of me is wanting to build a Let's Splosh, it would be my first time with smd though I have years of through hole under my belt so I'm not horribly terrified. I'm just curious if this is a super densely populated board full of small parts or if its a pretty smooth build. I read the build docs...

Re: Nonlinearcircuits 2021

@andrewf, these look great. I vaguely recall you mentioning a while back that you were thinking of redoing the 329 phase/flange in a smaller hp footprint (or was I dreaming?) - is the encephalo at all related to that design? Also wondering if we might see any more of those adorable 1U format module...

Re: Behringer ARP 2500 modules

My only complaints are: 1) while the 4:2 mode is "in phase" (i.e. the default DC values are positive at the output), in 8:1 mode, the DC values are negative at the output. So, you'd have to have an inverter to use it in the normal way as a voltage sequencer. This usually does not matter with audio ...

sweet thanks for letting me know. shat noir looks awesome as well, really cool to get distortion along with a phaser. both on my radar now. what are the I/Os and CV controls for the 24 stage? Re: are all analogue phasers noisy?

I just designed a 24 stage phaser, using LDRs. in 8HP. Was expecting it to be noisy but it isn't.
I had to restrain myself from adding some clipping diodes to get more distortion. Anyway should be available in a week.

Re: NLC nonlinearcircuits 2018 modules

Hey Andrew, I love my Null-A2 but it has a couple of modules broken that I never could get working, as my case is expanding I'm slowly replacing some of the ordinary functions in it. One thing I can't do without though is the VCO (only osc1 works) and the awesomely cantankerous SVF filter. Do you h...
