Re: Amp/mixer question

Yes, the beauty of modular is that you can have a VCA post OSC, then a VCA post Filter or FX, then use the end of chain mixer if it has a VCA as a final sculpting tool .

Re: PCBs as Front Panels ?

JLC pcb is now charging extra 36$ dollars for the combination of black PCB and ENING. Unfortunately this makes small batches very expensive. Any other place to look? Would be nice to find PCB house with better PCB quality similar to INSTRUO. Interesting... Just checked and there isn't any noticeabl...

Re: Superbooth 2022 - Discussion / Empty Wallets

For me, GHOST is trying too hard. The module screams for an identity and it's hard to place its existence in a category I would deem the reason to purchase it. Too much in a module can be a deterrent imho.

I'm awaiting a much further in-depth Delay 1 yet before a purchase is considered.

Great job Joran. I’m curious as to the choice of max 50 ms delay? Why did you feel this was long enough?

Re: Front panel design with LED glow through - how?

They are called backward facing LED or reverse mount LED. I've planned to use them as well but in the end I ended up using normal tht led and bend the leads around. This is not how a majority of manufactures produce their LED lit panels. The LED's aren't directly attached to the back of the front p...

Re: Resistors pre/post fader

the Aref pot can be reversed (and probably should be, the current configuratin increases the niose gain of the opamp 10x), with minimal difference in how the circuit operates. the input can not, though, as its part of an attenuverter, and the input currents wouldnt go to zero at the pot extremes. O...

Resistors pre/post fader

Hi All, I'm building a modification of Mutable instruments blinds with a 2 PCB build, top pcb for controls, jacks etc and bottom pcb for components. On blinds, I'm wondering if I can chance the sequence of components, this would help with routing purposes between the boards. See red circles. Wonderi...

Re: PCBs as Front Panels ?

Hey I am super new and have been trying to google/search for the answer and the question is probably pretty stupid but can anyone tell me if the only way to get gold lettering/details is to use ENIG as a surface finish? Yes Hi, thanks for the quick answer :) No worries. Its technically copper lette...

Re: Does this exist? VCO Multi-transpose

This seems to be roughly along the lines of the thread I started recently about how a module such as the 2hp Pitch works - basically what OP is proposing is essentially four of these, attempting to transpose the waves in but also preserve their shapes. As was pointed out to me the preservation of t...

Re: Does this exist? VCO Multi-transpose

It is an overall bad idea. The main problem is that pitch shifting is a really challenging thing if you want nice results for all kinds of waves. This transposing module would be much more expensive and power consuming than a couple of additional VCOs. And the end result would never be as smooth an...

Re: Does this exist? VCO Multi-transpose

Interesting points. My first idea of this was to buffer say a single VCO's sine wave, split it into 4 separate sine waves, transpose and process each accordingly with individual outputs. Exactly like a chord module. The expanded concept was to utilise more outputs on a single VCO, transpose them and...

Re: Does this exist? Audio Signal Multi-transpose

So, you want to preserve the original waveforms of the VCO (saw, sine, etc) and transpose them by e.g. a semitone or an octave? I think, this can be done only in the digital domain by several pitch shifters. Correct. Why not just transpose by sending a CV into the V/Octave input on the VCO? Then al...

Does this exist? VCO Multi-transpose

With the advent of most VCO modules providing various output waveforms, I was curious whether there was a module that utilised these individual outputs as inputs, individually transposing the pitch, and individually outputting the transposed result? In a compact solution. Simple in concept, assuming...
