Re: Roland Jupiter 6 help

Can you tell us how much you paid for such beautiful shape j6 If around 2500- 3000 usd , I would never mind at all the small problems All are fixable , j6 is all analog , and it’s a matter of changing 1-2 chips But if you paid a rat price of more than 5000-6000 as some people sell for that , than I ...

Re: RME Fireface UCX on Apple M1 latency

ok i don't have an RME, but i do have the M1. i can say that stuff that used to make my 2015 quad i7 choke and crackle at 512 buffer is literally a 10-20% cpu hit at 64 buffer now. and that's with a lot of stuff running through rosetta still. it's a HUGE leap in cpu power. easily the biggest jump i...

Re: RME Fireface UCX on Apple M1 latency

I don't have any apple products but have been using an rme ucx for 6 or so years. It has hardware based routing, mixing, and monitoring (you unplug the computer and it still works). The latency is very good, I frequently record clean and use the sends in realtime for my hardware fx (using their sof...

are you asking about software that can do this, or how to get it working with the FZ-1? couldn't have been too hard to figure out, i didn't even have a manual for it (used Steinberg 'Avalon' at the time). the free C6 software from Elektron (for the MD-UW) should work as well, i used that with an E-...

I am seeing from the manual VS filters doesn't respond to midi velocity ?
Only saying pressure .
Does it mean you cannot modulate the filter with midi thru a sequence ?
Or pressure from a sequencer can handle the same thing ?

I've owned a ton of pedals, here's a quick list of my favorites for drum machines and synths: Smallsound/Bigsound Mini - Fantastic gritty overdrive with a bias control WMD Geiger counter - Ultimate FSU pedal, especially with drums (also comes in eurorack) Hexe Bitcrusher - Similar to the GC above, ...

If you're new to pedals then I'd suggest getting the Zoom MS-70CDR as a first step - it's cheap, versatile and works well with synths. It's not the most boutique or high-end pedal, but will give a good idea of the type of FX you find useful/interesting and a good baseline for measuring other more e...

I use this exact set up. Like it WAY better than an actual 909. Obviously the Cirklon runs circles around the 909 sequencer. The timing is much better. Haven't noticed any MIDI problems. I've had 3 different real 909's over the years and sonically I can't tell any difference with 9090 (except the a...

Does it mean I have to hold the note to be able to hear a OH in full length ? With the 9090 in default "MIDI Note Off" mode, yes. The sampled sounds cut off when the MIDI note ends. If you put a MIDI filter in the way, or get the 9090 sysex file to work, then the 9090 will play the full length samp...

I use my 9090 with a Beatstep Pro, it works well. The 9090 sounds great (as you'd expect – the circuit is a copy of the 909 sound generators, including the samples, which come on pre-programmed ICs). The only changes are a couple of extensions to the kick. The only thing worth bearing in mind with ...
