Re: Behringer Pro-One

I need another monosynth like I need a hole in the head, but.. having borrowed 3hands's pro-1 for the past couple days I'm now just waiting until one shows up used locally. Sounds great, and can do all the modulation that most vintage monos can only do some of (sync, osc FM, filter FM, CV-controlled...

Re: Modes: 29 eurorack cheat sheets for iOS & web

Website's fixed, sorry about that.

Also good news, I've got someone who will be a paid writer for Synth Modes to add modules. It might take awhile for them to get up to speed but it should result in more regular releases.

I was wondering, is there a cheat sheet out there with all the different synthesis models that come with Renaissance?

You betcha! Covered in one of my other projects - https://www.synthmodes.com/modules/braids_renaissance/

Re: RME Digiface USB as a "Smart" Patch Bay?

Older RME UC, only had 1 set of ADAT in/out, but same idea here. I can route audio to and from one side my room to the rack on the other side.

RME quality seems to be stellar, haven't had issues at all.

Re: Modes: 29 eurorack cheat sheets for iOS & web

I’m looking to hire a part-time (around 10hrs per month) technical writer on contract to add more modules to the Synth Modes website (synthmodes.com) and iOS app. Ideal candidates would be familiar with eurorack synthesizers. The job entails reading and summarizing synthesizer manuals into the more ...

Any chance this will be made available for Android?
Sorry, just iOS and web -> https://synthmodes.com works on mobile.

If someone wants to make an Android app, the data that powers the app is all open-source:

I cannot edit my above post because it's too old. Latest X.04 release adds substaintally more features like PTCH control that maps to western 12-tone scale and additional GND synthesis machines.

Re: Roland TR-8 or Elektron Rytm?

So much for fire thought, people tell me use the a4 for drums I'm trying tonight, I'm like no... its not bad at drums tbh. Oh I believe it but I'm great at synthesis but want more quick drums essentially xD There's a few patch banks for sale for around $10 that are just drum sounds, load those into...

Hopefully this means I can get the newest firmware for my 2018 TVS Pro.
I got what I believe is the last update; Keyboard v.24a and SEQ v.30 if you need it, PM me!
Thanks! Tom delivered promptly after emailing him today.

Re: Unofficial Machinedrum SPS1-UW OS 1.70 OS

Wtf?! I just happened to stumble across this... So there is a much newer OS but does one need the mega command to access this? If not, what does it do/bring to the party? If it is essential, where can I find one? I see one floating in the B/S/T but that is in the US and I'm in the UK... afaik: the ...

Re: Braids Renaissance (robot speech, 10 new chord modes)

i have to say i've been using this since you announced it, and absolutely love it. the SAM models make some really interestingly glitchy sounds. and while i'm here, since you're knowledgeable with firmware modification, wondering if bytebeat alogs would be possible to use on braids. might be worth ...

Soo, I installed a 42u rack in the corner of my music room. The lower couple feet, I'm looking for rackmount modules that offer either a load of bread and butter, or weirder off-beat vibes. Got an emu e6400 ultra, tx81z, ensoniq dp/4. I was thinking of a kawai xd-5 possibly, and either a korg or rol...

It may be tough to figure out from the manual but I thought you could do that with MPC1000 with JJOS. You can assign pattern parts to pads? Not sure, it's been awhile.

Re: Monsoon wet/dry mix

not sure if this is the right place, but my typhoon's pitch knob is equal at about 11 oclock on the knob. the builder said they are aware of it, and that its a firmware bug they have been working on. is this the case for monsoons as well? Nope. Typhoon and monsoon are separate firmwares and do not ...

Re: The Elektron Model:Cycles Thread

Yea I love the way it sounds - how much do you love it for drums? The use the samples mostly as a drum sketch pad to get a quick beat going. Do you get bored of the range of drum sounds? It's kick is worth the price alone, to be honest. Especially if you make techno. It can bang, boom, sizzle, stom...

Oberheim Two Voice Pro: ENV question

I just picked up a Oberheim TVS Pro. It's sat in box since it was bought new, so I'm the first person to really try it out. I read they've had some issues both with earlier firmware and some issues with like, cables falling loose in transit. My issue is that SEM A's Env 1 holds it's position once I ...
