This one is easy for me. By FAR my favorite monosynth is my Yamaha VL-1. Nothing else comes close. (for me...)
Oh, yeah..... I think this one would be hard to beat.

Re: Your Favorite Acquisitions in 2020

I was (partially) joking. That's a big pile of very expensive and awesome gear and the way it was so casually dropped seemed like a flex. I'm envious. I know it was in jest, dude. Love it. Collecting huge, expensive white elephants has become a passion of mine. Only thing I would refrain from getti...

Re: Moog Grandmother

I think I found out the reason why I didn't like it. I found a teardown video, and they are using tiny pots like Behringer now to cut costs. They feel like they have lower resolution, and when you want to dial in precise sounds constantly it's annoying as hell. I was really prepared to lay out a gr...

I think there is a repeated waveform reset cycling on the Xpander and Matrix 12 why it sounds more towards DCO's and this is what i have been told (has to be verified).

In any case they do not sound more 'vco' then the dco's from the Schmidt

^ exactly - that's the spirit ! Last year was my 50th year - hence despite feeling incredibly nervous about parting with that much cash on a single purchase, I jumped on the KARP2600 last January. Andy is great but also a bitch to program, yeah super uninspiring to program.. ...

Somehow I find myself coming back to this synth over and over. It fascinates me. I've been listening Solazzo's demos over and over and I'm just blown away by how organic and flexible the sounds are. I have owned a PPG before, but found it flimsy and prone to breaking. Got rid of it when I got the Waldorf Wave, which sounds bigger and as crunchy/dirty as the PPG, if you’re into that kind of shit.
