Re: Master buss processing and limiting

I'm using a Cosmotronic messor as my modular end of chain sidechained (on kick) with an Analog rytm into a mixing desk. As someone already mentioned, audio engineer is going to be your best friend for your live act since he has lots of great tools to shape your final sound on his "presumed"...

Re: Looking for advice recording on tapes

Thank you all for your advices guys :) really appreciate, I won't multi track to the Tascam, I'm planning to send the stereo out from my masters to the 850 for duplicating, I'm aware that there will be some master to do and few tests to get the best results but it's going to be a fun journey in the ...

Re: Looking for advice recording on tapes

Where are you located? This place is in Canada: https://www.duplication.ca/Blank-Audio-Cassettes.html Seems like decent prices, and you can customize the length and color. I'm in France, I found this company based in UK but I wonder if we will get additional border fees.. https://www.bandcds.co.uk/...

Re: Looking for advice recording on tapes

You probably don't want to release Type II cassette, most people won't have the players to play them back properly. I'd go with Type I for that. I think the 424 can only record to and play Type II, while the Teac can play I, II and IV, and record to I and II. So I would use the Teac to record to Ty...

Re: Looking for advice recording on tapes

You could search for “high speed cassette duplicator”, that would be the machine for doing this task yourself. Though anything you find is likely to be vintage and in a questionable state of repair. There are still companies that do professional cassette duplication (presumably on properly serviced...

Re: Lira•8

Are you sure the scan was successful? Is there a way in Live to check blacklisted plugins? After I did those terminal commands, my vst3 plugin showed up in Plugins-under VST3 Strange that it doesn't show up for you. Did option / click on rescan to check blacklisted plugins without success.. I have ...

Re: Looking for advice recording on tapes

The Tascam porta studios were designed for high bias tape. For the best quality on the 424, use type II high bias tape at 3 1/2 IPS. That should give you around a 15khz frequency response. Using DBX noise reduction, you will get a cleaner sound with more dynamic range but that might not be what you...

Is anyone could help install this on Mac OS? I have loaded component and vst3 files to my internal folders but it doesn't seems to work I'm happy to try in tomorrow in Logic. Re: GPU AUDIO

Interesting indeed, but wuff's mention of latency does make me curious - I haven't read up on this stuff in an age, but last I checked most GPU designs outside of low-spec integrated laptop stuff work primarily in their own onboard memory space, no? Meaning that audio would have to go from sound ca...

Re: GPU AUDIO

I saw this posted on HN i think What are the tangible benefits to this? i cant remember the last time i had to bounce down audio and start a new session - because of processor strain. Is it just keeping ASIO buffer sizes as low as possible? From what I understood it saves your CPU alleging audio pr...

Re: New WMD Performance Mixer

I wonder if someone ever used his PM as a feedback machine ? I have a Vortices mixer as well and believe I could take advantages of both in some sort of huge feedback system coupled with many effects, I know it lacks of individual outs but I see many other features that can be very interesting to mo...

I really like the sound you can get from cascading gains itself while you mess around with faders and feedbacks, it opens up a new world of distorted experimentation.

I'm wondering if it is possible to transpose a sequence directly from your FX columns ? I can already do it from the shift command but is there other way to do it from FX part ?

Re: Piston Honda MKIII dual morphing wavetable oscillator

I've managed to nab a Kermit, a PH3 and a HD3 over the last couple of months - initial reservations about the wee size of the screen gave way to figuring out how little I needed the screens and the way the modules are laid out is just so nice to work with. NerdSeq, those, Squid Salmple, ALM MFX, a ...

Very Nice! I would love to see the setup and maybe a patch explantation. Is it all improvised on the spot or are some parts pre prepared? Also do you plug/unplug your cables during the recording or do you perform on a set patch? Appreciate you liked it! I have tons of pre prepared sequenced in my N...

This module is so much fun once you modulate it with lfos and accents, it sounds dynamic and alive that way, the duck output is so useful too
Highly recommended kick module :)
