Re: Why some non balanced equipment does not work with balanced cables

I think it has to do with some old gear not having the tip and hot point on different lead inside the cable but I might be wrong as i'm not an expert on the subject.
But I have the same problem with some equipment when plugging those into my Studer 961 mixer.

I remember once I jammed with friends in a barn during winter, in the high Alps, and the Rubicon took maybe 45 minutes to start oscillating hahaha

Re: Rubicon won't cycle

I have the same OG Rubicon and Row Power 40 as well. When I power up my rack, the Rubicon takes about 3-5 minutes to come online. Have no idea why but once it starts working, it is without any other issues. Same here but it's clearly related to cold. The colder it is in the studio, the longer the R...

Yes. I almost added this line below to the end of my post, but felt it might be confusing.

Of course if you add another DUSG, your available results for the original DUSG are increased.
This is why I like the Mantra panel with it's four channel of slope generator hahaha.

Re: Fave drum machines to use w modular?

TR8s has six trigger outs which work perfectly with Euro gear. If you have something else for the melody aspect it's an easy way to sequence. It's a good thing that Roland decided to put more of those trigger outs on most of their "drum" product, I bet the TR-06 must be super fun with euro as well !
