Godflesh might be up your alley
Yeah, I was also thinking about Godflesh, Author & Punisher, Pitchshifter, Dead World, and Christdriver.

do you know if he's using a guitar tehre or just synths into a guitar amp?
Dude just programs his drums/synths, triggers that setup with a foot pedal, then plays bass and sings over the top of it. He’s been a one-man-band since around ‘94.

Re: Would you add uGrids, or an SQ-1?

Grids is not great for polyrhythms or polymetry, quite the opposite. All 3 channels are linked. I love grids I think it's genius. Under cv control it can get very crazy. It's massively superior to zularic and numeric, which are similar but way less powerful. Grids has swing, ratchets, probability (...

Re: Would you add uGrids, or an SQ-1?

Grids only outputs triggers (3 channels + an accent channel) while the SQ1 outputs CV and gate. I only considered both of them because they are in my price range. I still like the idea of adding an SQ-1 because of its playability. But the more I research the more I realize that a trigger module lik...

Would you add uGrids, or an SQ-1?

https://cdn.modulargrid.net/img/racks/modulargrid_623631.jpg I’m looking to push past drones into the realm of industrial beats. So I’d like to trigger 2-3 percussion sounds on the Bitbox with either a module or a secondary sequencer. 0-CTRL is my master clock, Strega is my primary synth voice. I st...

I like the concept of Pamela’s, but Im wondering if any alternatives exist out there. My system is small. Im looking for fewer outs (like 1-4), but still synced to int/ext clock.
Horologic Solum?

Re: Announcing Strega!

Try as I may, I am not really getting into this instrument... It just seems to do a lot of similar/ samey things and these are mostly large, screechy, echoey noises. I have tried it with sound sources being fed into it, I have tried it being fed CV and Gate, I have tried it with combinations of all...

With the proliferation of eurorack and semi-modular synths, I think the lack of widespread pedals with CV is a missed opportunity.

I’m down for the 3 that have cv, but the other 2 I find are too digital for my tastes.
I wish more pedal makers would get into CV. The competition should be much stiffer than it is.

I just ordered at Sonicsmith Modulator A1 to go with the Behringer Crave I just ordered. Had my eye ...
