Re: Modules indispensable for drone
Start with a single square wave to the input of a clock divider. The clock divider must be capable of handling audio rate. This will create a set of subharmonics of the first note, which can be mixed together. Take the outputs to a bipolar VCA (like Blinds). Run 4 LFOs to the CV inputs. I’m current...

Likely not the best, but they arpeggiator on the PWM Malevolent is simply another reason to love it.

Add the PWM Malevolent to this list, which offers 1volt/oct, gate, and velocity.

Re: MPC ? Octatrack? Digitakt?
There need to be more samplers. I like the strides Polyend and Novation have made to up the ante. But I want an updated small sampling keyboard like the Microsampler.

Re: Landscape Stereo Field
The best pairings I ever had with it was running it through a Flanger Hoax (which is really a phaser), a Polivoks filter, and sampling it with the Digitakt. I had several very fruitful sessions that way.

Re: Op 1 field vs Sp404mkii for my purposes?
definitely SP404MK2. I too got this thing for what you're looking for: "experimental Sound collages - no tempo." SP404MK2's resampling power and unique effects list makes doing sound collage so enjoyable and easy. I had the octatrack years ago and tried this kind of thing, to some extent ...

Re: Do Your Neighbors Know You Have A Eurorack?
There is a secrecy and loneliness to owning and playing synths in general. Part of it relates to a world that has largely abandoned privacy. Synth space, in many instances, becomes "sacred space" for the individual in question, and interacting with such instruments is just as much about li...

Re: Erica Synths desktop digital Matrix Mixer
ok so I got too and while it is very fun to patch a bunch of things and randomize feedback loops and stuff like that, I overestimated how convenient it would be to patch everything thru the matrix mixer. if anything it got more complicated because no matter how I arrange it, my patch is a massive r...

Re: Eurorack logic computer.
Not sure it'll "compute' anything but you could do some nice wonky gates and cv with that :) Well, I'm not trying to solve equations. I go by sound. I don't know how to read or write musical notation, either. I learned how to play basic chords (that I still cannot identify) on a keyboard, and ...

Re: Eurorack logic computer.
Those are four perfectly nice modules—I have three of them and I have Ardabil covered in other ways—but I think you’re at sea. I recommend you pick one module, get it, learn it, and see what you can do with it. For example, you seem to be intrigued with Compare 2, so just grab one, bank the rest of...

Re: Eurorack logic computer.
I guess most of the time, in real life, confusion comes from the fact that when (input) signals are not "clean"/fast enough, or not properly synced, the outputs may not seem to be like what a user would expect, and would include (obviously unexpected) glitches. At some occasions, some of ...

Re: Eurorack logic computer.
Have you looked at the Terminal (DIY) or Teletype (Monome) ? It's like a shell / Bash computer command line interface that can do functions, store and recall variables, do logical operations... It looks powerful. But to be honest, I want to know the analog side before I ever get into a digital logi...

Re: Eurorack logic computer.
I will definitely scope them. The Joranalogue modules look cutting edge, but maybe I don't need cutting edge to get the kind of modulation I want for my relatively humble setup.natureclubcassettes wrote: ↑Fri Jun 24, 2022 5:01 pm what about a clutch of Doepfer modules? $800 could go pretty far there

Re: Eurorack logic computer.
I suppose it depends on what the end goal is. I'm sending gates with a 0-CTRL, and it would be nice to trigger a slew/function generator and an LFO into a comparator, then into the FM on my PWM Malevolent. Or back into the time input on the 0-CTRL with the sequence reacting however it will. I'll be...

Re: Eurorack logic computer.
Apologies if I'm way off the mark here, but you said you're looking to get away from s/h and random music styles. So my thought is, rather than get a few basic modules, would it be worth considering a powerful sequencer? I'm currently using the Oxi One, there are 8 cv, 8 gates, midi, Din sync, Blue...

Re: Eurorack logic computer.
etckla asks a very good question. Esp, since OP first said analog computer and then brought up a comparator wihch is more aligned with boolean logic. @Unborn Gore Are you wanting to add Boolean logic or analog logic? This is a distinction that I know nothing about. I'm I'm glad I posted the questio...
