I will definitely scope them. The Joranalogue modules look cutting edge, but maybe I don't need cutting edge to get the kind of modulation I want for my relatively humble setup.natureclubcassettes wrote: ↑Fri Jun 24, 2022 5:01 pm what about a clutch of Doepfer modules? $800 could go pretty far there

Re: Eurorack logic computer.
I suppose it depends on what the end goal is. I'm sending gates with a 0-CTRL, and it would be nice to trigger a slew/function generator and an LFO into a comparator, then into the FM on my PWM Malevolent. Or back into the time input on the 0-CTRL with the sequence reacting however it will. I'll be...

Re: Eurorack logic computer.
Apologies if I'm way off the mark here, but you said you're looking to get away from s/h and random music styles. So my thought is, rather than get a few basic modules, would it be worth considering a powerful sequencer? I'm currently using the Oxi One, there are 8 cv, 8 gates, midi, Din sync, Blue...

Re: Eurorack logic computer.
etckla asks a very good question. Esp, since OP first said analog computer and then brought up a comparator wihch is more aligned with boolean logic. @Unborn Gore Are you wanting to add Boolean logic or analog logic? This is a distinction that I know nothing about. I'm I'm glad I posted the questio...

Re: Eurorack logic computer.
Compare 2, Select 2, Morph 4, Pivot 2 Genuinely interested: what makes a modular rack a "logic computer"? Well, if we're being honest I guess all of it is just mathematical equations. Even sample and hold. So any modular (or semi-modular) device would qualify, strictly speaking. I guess i...

Re: Eurorack logic computer.
Rather than focusing on buying a fistful of modules, maybe focus on thinking through a fistful of patching strategies to get somewhere that interests you? For example, starting with Compare 2, it does nothing by itself. You have to to give it input voltages to compare. Those input voltages have to ...

Eurorack logic computer.
In my quest to remove myself from the clutches of the random, I have become mildly obsessed with the idea of creating a modest/proficient analogue computer out of Euro modules to compliment my non-euro gear. I've been studying the Joranalogue modules for this purpose (Compare 2, Select 2, Morph 4, P...

the Q Slider : this was my idea . I ask Per Flame to make the longest fader with unipolar adjustable outputs. the fader caps are plastic but if you want heavy metal caps it's possibble to change the caps.... Let me clarify: I don't care about the caps. Plastic caps are fine. I just want the rods po...

Re: Metal faders.
Verbos uses metal sliders (with rubber caps). However if you meant like a module only to use as a controller for something else.. I don't know. There may be one out there, I just haven't qualified such a thing as needing metal sliders so don't know it off the top of my head. Anyway, Verbos Scan &am...

Metal faders.
I was looking at the Flame QSlider and wondering if there are any fader modules that have the sliders made of metal instead of plastic?

Re: PWM Malevolent - new analog monosynth
I grabbed one of these off of Reverb last week. The previous owner had ordered it from Thomann. I just got it today, and have been running it through a BLM Grains, an Erica Matrix, and a few other goodies. It is an analog FM powerhouse. The patchability and control on each oscillator and the filter ...

This machine makes me want to pair it with a matrix mixer, for both processing its voices and for feeding it an array of CV signals.
