The Boss Katana Mkii is an incredible amp for the money.

Yeah I ended up seeing them. I definitely, unfortunately, do not like the aesthetics.
Agreed, it looks really, really bad.

Really GASing for this. Guess I can try selling my Monomachine again - couldn't get rid of it for $800 two years ago. Now I see they regularly go for $2K on Reverb.

Re: Interested in a reprint of Allen Strange's Electronic Music?

I'm really stoked for this. I was only ever able to get a copy through inter-library loan, and they only let me check it out once every 6 months or so.

Re: Anything like Numerology for Windows?

There's also Orca. It's nothing like Numerology, but it's worth mentioning for sure. It's more of a sequencer programming environment with lots of generative capabilities.

I was an early adopter of Seer Systems Reality. It was a PITA to get running, a PITA to use with Cubase, and a PITA to program, but had some amazing features for the time.

You could do FM with samples, it had physical modelling, multiple crazy filter topologies, etc.

For the time it was incredible.

You need to remove the extra 'track' string from your URL.

That track is sick btw.

Sounds like a thin square wave played in 5ths to me, but what do I know?

I know this is an old thread, but it's been very helpful. I do have a question: I have my ES-3 (Live 10.1) set up with an external effect the way listentoaheartbeat suggested. Everything works perfectly until I go to record the audio. Nothing gets recorded. The workaround I've been using is to reco...

If you plan on sticking with Mac, I can't really help other than to suggest Fink which is apparently the OSX compiled version of LAME which is the best MP3 encoder there is. If you go to PC, get LAME for encoding, Mp3Tag for tagging/organizing and Foobar for playing audio files. Side note: yay Panas...

I notice they kept the sequencer authentic to the original. I predict there will soon be much "WTF!?" from a new generation of Acid enthusiasts :hihi: I wanted to kill myself just looking at the sequencer explanation in the review video. I think I'll pass, and keep making snobbish acid lines on oth...

I went ahead and bought the blue one (as it's the ugliest one I think) and will have fun making acid. I needed something to replace my dodgy-as-hell x0xb0x and I'm never going to spend $ x 000 dollars on a real 303. At this price why the hell not. Acid is fun. Get high and get some squelch going. It...

What does the "Record" menu option show? I'm not seeing any routing options on that page.

Also, can you take a screenshot instead of literally taking a picture of your screen?

I can honestly say without hyperbole that this site changed my life for the better.

It's hard to estimate how much influence on the golden age of synthesizers and modular we now live in that Mike, directly or indirectly, had through the creation of MW. I'm gutted, and he will be missed.
