Exactly. The ring of leds around the blendable character control turns Green or Yellow, indicating the selected bank. A long press of BUTTON toggles between the banks.

You might be talking about a wire wound pot? It’s between a full click rotary switch and a smooth pot response. Afaik, they are usually used when the pot needs to handle more power. It could be a cool curiosity piece if one of those would be used in a 5U module.
