Re: I stopped listening to the kind of music I make

I guess this sounds stupid, but I'm actively trying to not make music similar to the music I listen to - or should I say, I try very hard every time I sit down with the machines to just start with a blank a canvas as possible, not even with the intention of making music - I just want to experiment w...

Re: FIVE12 Eurorack Vector Sequencer

Both Shuttle Control and the Hexinverter Midi module, can't remember the name right now (modular brain?) works really well as expanders for Vector. I haven't really been following the development of the firmware too closely - but has Jim ever said anything about making eucledian drum parts/gens bein...

This is the solution, which worked for me:[/u] [...] You can reformat the new SD card with the links below: You can use the program Etcher: https://www.balena.io/etcher/ Here is a link to disk image of the most current firmware: https://www.dropbox.com/s/m4kehph5p0sc49b/nebulae_v_2_1_2.zip?dl=0 Oth...

Re: Qu-Bit Nebulae V2 boot error

Mine is like this as well. Got a clean image of the firmware SD card on the back, installed that, but it's still the same. I love this thing when it works, but every now and then it'll just stay in boot mode for a month or so, as if it's taking a little holiday. I've somehow just learned to accept i...

Re: What Was/Is Your Modular Budget?

I've probably lost thousands over the years, don't even want to know. But I've never spent money I don't have, so it's never been a financial issue. I usually have around 3-400 dollars (or the equivalent) to spare every month, and don't really spend a lot of cash on a lot of other crap unless I need...

Is there a way to make the internal LFO's sync to the sync input?
Not in the present firmware. I've got it on the list of possible feature add with the next planned release (October).
Sweet, thanks! :tu:

Re: Synth Tech e520 Hyperion Stereo Audio Processor

Oh yes, it took me a while to get a groove on this thing, had it for a couple of days, but I've found a ton of awesomeness in this tonight. The Chowder Delay is excellent. Have already saved a few cool presets for it. The diffusion flanger (an absolute beauty) and a couple of the delays sound lovely...

Both the Vibrazum and Katowice are excellent. I much prefer using Katowice for isolation purposes though. It's clinical and sharp. Very very useful module. Great design.

Re: Stick your video doodles here.

Thanks, Kent. :) Here's another one. I got so tired of the music in this one eventually, I've come to the conclusion it's not very good, but thought the images turned out allright. But quite flickery this one, in case anyone's sensitive to that. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C_HCzd89ppw&ab_chan...

ES Disting Ex - for the multi-sample player and the granular, which is just excellent. Might get a second. Radikal Technologies RT-1701 - great sounding multi-fx module. Pristine sounds, but a bit of an odd interface. Synth Tech e520 - haven't gotten it yet, but it sounds lovely, has a lot of effect...

Absynth for me. Huge range of sounds, easy to controls, lots of randomizer features. It's great. The only soft synth I use on a regular basis.

Playback goes from 1.0x-speed to 0.01x-speed—no external effects have been used. All feedback pots are set at zero (full-CCW). Quantization is turn...

The future of synths and audio effects

Big topic! I'm sure there are similar threads out here, but couldn't find any. Anyways, I remember when I started using synths and such, I was thinking "why aren't there more effects than this?" and then finding lots of more esoteric effects only to find that they were usually composed of a set of t...

I'd also like to know this. I have had a similar issue regarding Adat world clock (basically, unless I set this setting to "adat" in Ableton, I get audible clock ticking in the interface) for way too long without figuring out a solution other than going into the settings and changing it manually eve...

Cool, thanks! :) Happy to have helped! It's ironic, Oval is an artist I've been planning on listening more to for ages, but haven't actually gotten around to do so. Maybe now's the time! Yeah, Oval was the artist who pretty much started the glitch genre in the mid-90s. He used to sample skipping CD...

New video from Sound Isles: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TvtKX2SouFo Sounds awesome. Lots of param's to mess with. It looks like it plays up to 20 simultaneous grains? Yeah, you can limit how many you want it to play at the same time, but 20 is the max limit. It really sounds fantastic. Above an...

Re: Synth Tech e520 Hyperion Stereo Audio Processor

Can you save stacked fx as presets as well? Well, I am assuming "stacked" means effects in parallel which we cannot do. If you are referring to our CHAINED mode, then yes. You can save that as a user preset. For those wondering, this mode lets you assign different effects to Left and Right. If you ...
